These people kept calling us a few months ago. I finally actually talked to a human and told them that they had the wrong person. They kept insisting that we live in Texas. We live in Idaho. I told her to check the area code that they were dialing. She said she would remover our number. Now they are starting again. How can we make them stop?

Just got another call. A Malika Scott apparently left my number (not hers) and now they say they are a debt recovery agency. She supposedly lives in Arizona, and my number is in CO. Over the last 4 years they said they were with student loans. Too bad the dead beats can't be honest instead of sticking us with their problem! There is a face book entry for Malika. Maybe I should contact her that way!
The same company has been trying to call and they leave a voice mail on my cell phone about a debt they are trying to collect. I have no debt and never answer these calls. I am beginning to get fed up with this as it is now a daily routine and I am actually feeling harassed at this point.
These guys are amateur debt collectors and they keep calling even AFTER you acknowledge the debt. I am going to promptly send a cease and desist letter and threatened them with harassment. Just don't answer it if you aren't ready to negotiate your debt...but if you are, ask to speak with a supervisor. All these guysare trying to do is win a commission off of your debt repayment.
